| Day
of Departure |
We will depart from
Seattle (4 pm) On a clear day,
the Seattle skyline is stunning. On rainy days there
is much to do and see under cover. Take a ferry
across the Sound or check out the view atop the
Space Needle. Visit turn-of-the-century Pioneer
Square day or night. |

Scenic
Inside Passage Cruising. When explorer John Muir
first sailed the Inside Passage he could hardly tear himself away from the rail for
fear of missing some new marvel. “Never before”,
he wrote, “have I been embosomed in scenery so hopelessly
beyond description tracing shining waves through fjord
and sound, past forest and waterfall, islands and
mountains...”. All this while you’re gliding along
in the lap of luxury while you are gliding along on a
cruise ship with your new bluegrass friends. |
| Day 2 |
 |
Ketchikan
(6:00am - 4:30pm) Nicknamed “the salmon capital
of the world,” this important fishing port is
also home to the world’s largest collection of
Native American totem poles. You will enjoy your
stroll through the picturesque waterfront
district of this quaint boardwalk city built on
stilts, as well as the historic and former “Red
Light” district amid gold shops, gift shops and
restaurants. |
|
| Day
3 |
| Cruising Tracy Arm to Sawyer Glacier (6:00am - 10:00am) & Juneau (1:30pm - 10:00pm) In Alaska’s capital you may choose to taste
salmon baked over an alder wood fire, pan for
gold, see the Juneau Ice Field or walk right up
to the Mendenhall Glacier located just outside
the city limits. There are ample shore
excursions to fill your day. Juneau is
nestled at the feet of snowcapped Mt. Juneau and
Mt. Roberts and is nicknamed “Little San
Francisco” because of its narrow streets and
flights of wooden steps hugging the hillside on
which its multicolored houses are built. |
|
|
| Day
4 |
 |
Skagway (7:00am - 9:00pm) Where the Gold Rush began - Skagway
was the turbulent staging point for prospectors
hell-bent on getting to the Klondike
gold fields. Go ashore. Stroll the weathered
boardwalks and drop in at old time saloons or shop for
gold nuggets. You can purchase tickets for a ride in a
vintage parlor car up the historic White Horse Pass,
via the narrow gauge railway. Skagway has preserved the atmosphere of the 1898 gold rush
better than any other town in Alaska. |

| Day 6 |
|
Victoria BC (6:00pm - 11:59pm) Victoria is a picturesque seaport that is the
capital of the province and the highlight of
beautiful Vancouver Island. From beaches to
mountains, exquisite parks to enchanting
architectural sites, Victoria has it all. The
museums in the city are marvelous, and the Royal
British Columbia Museum, in particular, is
outstanding, featuring an IMAX theater and
incredible exhibits. The Maritime Museum
illustrates the heralded maritime history of
Victoria, and the model ship exhibit is
fascinating. There are a number of spots in the
city where nature has combined with the efforts
of local residents to create some of the most
amazing sites possible. The Butchart Gardens
captivate all who visit, and Beacon Hill Park is
a wondrous region that is adored by the entire
community. With a pleasant climate and
plenty of fabulous restaurants, Victoria is
becoming a more popular vacation spot with each
passing year. |

Day 7
|
We return to
Seattle at 8:00 am. There is plenty of time before
we disembark for breakfast and maybe one last jam as

together at other Bluegrass events. |
|
 |
All
this in addition to eagle and whale

sightseeing and
top act entertainment.
When will you have time
to
eat all those fabulous meals? |
